- Compile and analyze monthly journal entries to support month end close process.
- Analyze monthly financial reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate with Controller regarding financials as well as specifying and comparing factors affecting profitability.
- Prepare formal month end reconciliations.
- Analyze problems and capabilities to develop solutions for improved operating procedures, alternate processing methods, communications, information flow, internal controls, management reporting, and operational efficiency.
- Assist in the development of the Annual Operating Plan.
- Establish and maintain relationships with others outside of Accounting seeking periodic feedback and business alignment meetings to gain an understanding of competing business pressures and needs.
- Ensure that all required reports are completed on a timely basis. This includes monthly journal entries, and audit requirements.
- Provide training and change management to facility personnel as required.
- Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to financial analysis, monthly account reconciliations, Ad Hoc reporting to assist management in decision making, and participation in annual physical inventories.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
- Experience in electrical or construction industries
- Minimum of 5 years of Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Mastery of Excel and Access
- ERP systems
- SAGE FAS software
- GAAP knowledge
- Multi-location manufacturing industry experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels within the organization
- Self-motivated, ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving and follow-through skills
