Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the Information Security Team including building security into the cloud architecture, working with the Vulnerability Management Program as well as working with the Governance Team for our HITRUST certification and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Develop and implement instrumentation for monitoring the health and availability of services including fault detection, alerting, triage, and recovery (automated and manual).
- Maintain the reliability and performance of cloud applications and cloud infrastructure deployed on Amazon Web Services, with a focus on automation, availability and performance
- Provide production support for application performance and infrastructure issues
- Build and maintain CI/CD tools in a cloud environment.
- OS/Application vulnerability management / patching
- Lead technology initiatives that drive scalability and reliability
- Improve the performance of our web applications and solve scaling issues
- Build tools and automation that eliminate repetitive tasks
- Develop, improve, and thoroughly document operational practices and procedures.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Computer Science, or related field.
- 5 + years of strong experience understanding and knowledge of Linux, Automation Tools (Jenkins, CircleCI)
- Proficient in high level script languages (Python and/or Ruby) as well as script environments like bash
- Solid understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) including EC2, Network, ELB, S3/EBS, VPC, ELB, IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, CloudFormation, Lambda, and others 2 or more years hands on in a hybrid Linux/Windows environment.
- Experience with monitoring, metrics, and visualization tools for network, server, and application status (Nagios, Graphite etc.)
- Understanding of application or software security such as: web application penetration testing, secure code review, secure static code analysis, and vulnerability remediation
- Solid understanding of encryption from PGP, SSL Certificates, encryption settings within AWS
