Tasks:
- General Ledger entry creation and posting, including loan funding, loan sales, interest accruals, Fair Value (FV) of locked pipeline (IRLCs), Mortgage Loans Held for Sale (MHS), related hedge instruments, payroll/benefits, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, debt amortization, etc.
- General ledger account analysis and reconciliation including loan pipeline and warehouse, IRLCs, MHS, Interest Accruals, hedge FV and receivables/payables and related revenue and expense accounts, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, payroll/benefit accounts.
- Monthly Margin analysis reporting for IRLCs, MHS, and hedge instruments.
- Monthly Interest Income and Cost analysis reporting.
- Preparation of monthly Variation Analysis.
- Preparation and analysis of monthly Branch Operating Statements.
- Preparation and analysis of monthly Leads Analysis, including lead measurements, lead costs and net income by MLO, team and cost center.
- Analysis of balance sheet, income statement accounts and cost center P&Ls.
- Daily update and maintenance of the Access databases that provide the loan level data that supports all loan level entries, reconciliations, analyses, and accounting, compliance and lead reporting.
- Design and preparation of periodic Performance package.
- Preparation of monthly internal and external financial reports and monthly Bank certification statements
- Ad hoc report and data generation for operations, compliance, state audit requests. sales, call center and executive administration.
- Preparation of quarterly call report data for variance compliance reports.
- Reconcile periodic call reporting data and HMDA data.
- Preparation of annual interim and final financial audit PBC requests.
- Preparation of data supporting annual Tax preparation.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- College Degree, Accounting required
- Minimum three years Accounting experience required
- Mortgage Industry accounting experience required
- Financial Reporting experience required
- Advanced skills in Database, BI applications, SQL, Visual Basic
- Advanced skills in General Ledger and Reporting systems, including Microsoft Dynamics/Loan Vision
- Advanced skills in MS Office applications,
- Organization, written and oral communication skills
- Detail oriented with problem solving skills
- Self-starter able to work independently
