This individual must have demonstrated business development experience with NIH, FDA, VA and/or CMS and will take the lead role in developing and maintaining business aligned with their core capabilities within the public health domain.
Job Responsibilities:

Work closely with senior management and business areas to provide strategic direction and leadership

Develop comprehensive marketing and federal health agency account plans and innovative capture strategies

Identify top contract opportunities, determine key players and gather intelligence on specific government units to target including NIH, FDA, VA and CMS
-
Develop, cultivate and manage customer relationships in pursuit of new business opportunities
-
Establish link between the customer’s business strategy and client’s capabilities leveraging opportunities for innovation
-
Identify, qualify, lead, and close new business opportunities to achieve company growth and revenue targets
-
Lead capture efforts, dissect RFPs, perform gap analysis in order to prepare winning proposals
-
Develop and maintain pipeline of opportunities aligned with their vision, mission and business model/strategic plan

Conduct competitive analysis to better understand issues and threats

Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of business development and capture management experience within the federal public health services environment
-
Proven track record of generating and qualifying new sales leads, closing new business opportunities and exceeding sales quotas

Demonstrated experience in leading an organization in capturing, bidding and winning work with NIH, FDA, VA and/or CMS
-
Strong contacts within the public health community to facilitate the development of strategic teaming relationships

Strong understanding of the federal government procurement processes and practices

Sound business judgment and innovation in approaching business challenges
