ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Drive new product development in the assigned 3-dimensional inspection product line, working closely with Engineering and other departments and assure functional requirements and customer needs are being met.
- Test and validate functional specifications are being met during the development process.
- Understand the global market landscape and competitive offerings to ensure that our product features, benefits and gaps are clearly understood.
- Contribute clear definition of user needs and application workflows from a deep understanding of our customers and their applications with laser, optical and photogrammetric 3-dimensional inspection hardware and software.
- Provide support and product information to other departments in the production of support materials: user documentation, internal and customer training content and product marketing collateral.
- Review data sources of customer satisfaction, sales and marketing effectiveness for insights to product and collateral improvements.
- Coordinate and participate in educating employees throughout the company in hardware and software product applications during new product releases.
- Interface with field person and key customers to resolve any reoccurring challenges with the product line.
- Travel required including overnights and weekends. Trips include customer site visits, new product demonstrations, trade shows and other company facilities as required.
HIRING REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERENCES:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required in business, marketing or engineering. Advanced business or engineering degree beneficial.
- Minimum three years’ experience with laser, optical or photogrammetric 3-dimensional inspection equipment highly preferable.
- Must be a self-driven individual that will thrive in a highly dynamic, flexible, team environment.
- Ability to take complex information from the market, distilling and translating it into detailed project requirements.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. Must be able to represent new hardware and software products to customers, sale peoples, and senior executives.
- Excellent relationship-building skills. Must be able to develop and sustain relationships with key influencers, internal and external customers.
