ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Serve as the Total Quality resource in all functions and duties including but not limited to statistical analysis, reliability analysis, Six-Sigma, internal manufacturing and divisional performance monitoring and metric generation.
- Statistically analyze any range of engineering, production, calibration operations data to identify trends or out of scope conditions (SPC). Identify current or potential impacts, communicate findings and recommend action to provide information and to influence or affect positive change in engineering operations results.
- Perform Capability Studies and measurements for calibration, Compensation, and Certification activities, related to ISO17025 laboratory requirements, and measurement of artifacts.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts throughout the organization.
- Generate reports for use by all areas of the company to monitor operations. Generate metric data in timely manner used to monitor company performance. This includes data for use in the company global metric system as well as reports needed to monitor specific areas in a globally consistent manner.
- Interface with suppliers, engineering, supply chain and production in order to produce cost effective products with a focus on manufacturability.
- Participate in the supplier selection process and sustained supplier development activities related to new product introduction including prototype, pre-production and production of parts and assemblies.
- Coordinate and perform quality process audits for compliance with required certifications. Report on level of systems compliance, areas requiring changes or improvements and recommend corrective actions and track and document related efforts and results. Monitor findings and ensure closure of related tasks.
HIRING PREFERENCES:
- BS Degree in an Engineering discipline.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be a self-driven individual that will thrive in a highly dynamic, flexible, team environment.
- Effective interpersonal skills and strong communication skills. Must be able to develop and sustain relationships with key influencers, internal and external customers.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, SPC and/or Six Sigma is desirable.
