RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, unit test, document and deploy technical Sitecore solutions
- Develop proof of concepts to evaluate and test new Sitecore approaches and solutions
- Recommend technical solutions to business issues and/or system issues
- Execute secure code reviews to ensure designs are consistent with our development standards
- Inform the creation of test plans to guarantee solutions meet the defined functional requirements, user experience, system integration and performance expectations
- Provide guidance on estimating development work
- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, user experience, design, and quality assurance teams as part of the SDLC
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Sitecore Developer certified
- 2+ years of professional experience with Sitecore, 6.x/7.x expertise preferred
- 5+ years developing commercial-grade applications with large-scale deployments
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field required, or equivalent experience
SKILLS
- Evidence of success in the delivery of Microsoft and Sitecore solutions
- Experience integrating third-party technologies and APIs with Sitecore
- Significant background and experience in CMS concepts, familiarity with other platforms preferred
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft .NET Framework, including C#, ASP.NET WebForms, ASP.NET MVC, and Razor syntax
- Solid understanding of secure coding techniques and web application vulnerabilities
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, TSQL, stored procedures, SSIS, etc.
- Experience with JavaScript and other contemporary front-end technologies such as jQuery and CSS
- Expert in using and managing change management tools, Subversion, GIT, etc.
- Experience with a wide variety of testing tools and techniques
- Reading knowledge of requirements (e.g., use case) models
