Our Client is seeking engineers with various levels of experience for these positions, from Associate level to Architect level. Compensation will be commensurate with experience. The team members within this initiative will be responsible for the architecture, design, integration (including OSS), implementation, testing and operational transition support of the virtualized elements and underlying infrastructure. Some of the roles may integrate several of the functions listed above (for example testing and configuration) and some will call for deep expertise within one function. Integration of these elements as well as the underlying shared infrastructure with existing OSS and ITSM systems is also in scope.

 

The major operating systems they support are Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Server (2008, 2012) and we offer support for Mac OS X/Unix/Linux.

They also work with Cisco products, SonicWall, and a variety of NAS/SAN solutions. They work with a variety of backup software solutions including Veeam and ShadowProtect.

HIRING PREFERENCES:

• Good working knowledge of Linux environment
• Knowledge of hypervisor environments like VMware ESXi, Linux KVM
• Familiar with cloud and virtualization management concepts including orchestration, resource pooling, high availability, configuration management and elasticity
• Familiarity with cloud management platforms, either private clouds (e.g. OpenStack, VMware vCD, CloudStack) or public ones (AWS, Azure, Rackspace)
• Knowledge of cloud monitoring and service assurance systems for the various virtualization layers and integration with higher level monitoring systems and processes
• Knowledge of migration (and retrofitting) applications and/or operating systems from physical (bare metal) to virtual environments including application profiling and virtual hardware dimensioning
